Manga Accounts For 33% Of French Comics Market

According to a recent Finacial Times Article, manga currently accounts for a 33% share of the French COmic Book market. The piece mentions manga is replacing more and more domestically produced works in France AND reviving interest in comics. Thanks to Leon of Aniway Magazine for the referral.

Mature Anime and Manga pulled from Suncoast Shelves

Suncoast employees were instructed to remove the Berserk and Steel Angel mangas, along with adult video titles Rei Rei and Countdown from store shelves. However, some stores report that other similar titles such as La Blue Girl and Blade of the Immortal have remained on store shelves. Suncoast officials were unavailable to comment on the removal.
